Woodgrove Secondary School's Food & Funfair Carnival

As usual, I was requested officially through phonecalls, letters and emails to help out. Luckily for Woodgrove Secondary School, Mdm Sung Mee Har the Principal booked me wayback in advance for our Harley Owners to help out. Immediately, there were another 2 requests made to me, also on the same "fateful" day...., 14th March, 2009 Saturday!!!
For me, sleepness nights...., thinking of whom I can relied upon to help out. This kind of event cannot be managed by myself if riders don't responded...., that's it! So, a lot of callings, emailings, sms-ings, reminders after reminders, cajolings to fellow riders to help out.
First, without fail, my old time buddy Philip Seow was roped in to assist. Next, fellow old riders, like JessLey, Lam Fatt Hui, Ben Tan are a must, including Jimmy Ho. But Jimmy was not around. Then comes fellow Night Angels but as all are busy and only Billy is available...., but his bike battery failed him miserably on that morning itself..., panic.
Next, the new group of LostHOGs are the most reliable riders around currently, Fong, Dod, Andrew Chu, Andrew Fletcher...., turned out in fullforce and rode in as the 1st convoy to the excitement of the crowds. But Ben Tan was the 1st solo rider at scene.
Goh Johan will quietly come, so the group from HTG Alex James, followed by AhBoy's group.
Ridhwan Salleh will help whenever he possibly can and he was there...yahoo!
All in all, 22 bikes helped out to my relief.
Cheers to all these bikers and may Best Blessings be upon them always.

LostHOGS with lone NightAngel's ride up North for CNY2009

It started with Andrew Fletcher throwing open an opportunity to ride up to Ipoh to be with Eunice who is back home celebrating CNY with her family. So after 2 casual meetings over drinks at Changi Village, Dod, Fong & myself agreed to ride with Andrew Fletcher. Andrew Chu declined due to workloads.
As usual, on the morning of 29th Jan 2009 we meet at GP at 8.00am sharp. There was James as pillion with Andrew F. After reaching Ipoh, I bade goodbye to the 3 losthogs and continued my trip to Bukit Mertajam.
On the 30th, the trio rode up to meet me just before the Penang Bridge and I, together with brother Johnny led them all the way to Evergreen Laurel Hotel at Gurney Dr with front parkings assured by Mr Zulkapli (carpark i/c).
Then it was food & drinks galore (Penang Delights) before the group calls it a day and I left for home in Bukit Mertajam. In the evening, Andrew sms-ed me to say they will be staying in Penang for another day instead of going back to Ipoh of which I am very happy with.
At about 11.30am on 31st, I rode to Penang again and took the trio for a round the Pearl of the Orient ride until Andrew cannot take it with his pillion James and it's back to hotel. Along the way, we stopped to take pics of scenic views, have booster drinks, eat durians (durian sellers make us laugh our heads off, saying our bikes are virago), again have the Penang famous assam laksa, hokkien mee, char kway teow, rojak, white coffee, etc etc. The Balik Pulau route took it's toll on Andrew and he is stressed out, blaming the bike for not effective brakes & pillions for making his ride difficult. I suffered damages too as my brake levers went kaput due to the thread wearing off and couldn't hold or lock the lever back. Fong & Dod missed the trip up Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Temple and also the Snake Temple but compensated by other scenic wonders.
On the 1st Feb, I was sms-ed to meet them along the route after Juru but ended up the trio meeting me at Tapah. It was a good ride home except for some showers along the NS highway. On reaching S'pore, Fong & I went to Raffles Marina and had our drinks....

old kallang airport road - street party

HOG was invited to boost up the street party at the Old Kallang Airport Road. As usual, met at HDS at appointed time 5.30pm but was never on time. About 25 bikes turned up to support. had a good ride to Old Kallang Airport Rd but was told to wait for 1 hour before the actions start so went drinking and mutton soup at the food centre with Eunice, Andrew F, Dod & Fong. When Andrew Chu turned up, the convoy was moved into position minus the 5 of us, still enjoying our drinks & food but we joined up anyway. However, due to family gathering at Downtown East for dinner, I had to leave before the event was flagged off. Had a good laugh at Downtown East (Yes Man)
Read the Sunday Times the day after !!!

2008-Christmas Toy Run

This ToyRun was also in tribute to our Santa Klaus Kaiser. Members also observed a minute of silence for fellow HOG, the late Rick Smith. This year, less riders turned up. It was also on a different style. We gathered at HDS, amended the HOG Constitution to cater for the Muslim Riders on the Annual D&D, unfortunately very few Muslim Riders turned up to vote for their requests but the Constitution was supported by all to cater to their needs.
We then rode to the S'pore Flyer and was greeted by the under-privileged children from the Central CDC (KidsREAD)and goody bags were distributed. The GOH was Dr Lam. The ToyRun was followed up by LOH bbq at Shore Restaurant (couldn't attend as my family has carolling at Hougang Mall).
