I was encouraged by Ali to ride up to KL for the AIME (Asian International motorcycle Expo) & MotoGP so until the very last minute, I was not sure whether my office will allow me to take the weekend off. The minute the go ahead was given, wasted no time calling up Ali to confirm the ride up.
As usual, I am the early bird last Saturday 20/10/07 to saddleup and rode to Pasir Ris ESSO petrol kiosk to wait for Ali. The weather was showing signs of opening up. At the petrol kiosk, there were some m/cyclists already wet in their raingears and 3 of them approached me to chat up, telling how nice to see a Harley and was very and obviously envious on hearing that I am riding up to KL.
We met up and took the PIE to 2nd Link. Reached Concorde and checked into a premier room each and partytime started. On the way, we even had the opportunity to rode with the police escorted Tri-Nations Charity Event which took place in KL the day before. Bikes of all mades are the usual components of this annual event spanning Thailand, Malaysia & Thailand. It was initially a 4 Nations Charity Ride Event but Indonesia dropped out after some years.
We met up with Mike Gan from KL at the Convention Centre where AIME was and looked at the fantastic bike customisations on display.
Later in the evening we had our party at Hard Rock before moving out. This is the 1st time I witnessed a snatch theft blatantly took place along Jalan Sultan Tun Ismail where a Malay lady walking with her husband had her handbag snatched by a motor-cyclist in broad daylight with the crowd to go with.
The crowd at Jalan P Ramlee was fantastic, for once I thought I was in Phuket Rock Hard area.
We went to Aloha before moving off to Rum Jungle Piranha Bar. It's happening, happening to say the least!!!
The next day, we checked out after a late breakfast and rode to Sepang for the MotoGP. Well, it was soaking the atmosphere of a live race but I rather be watching from the TV in the comfort of my bedroom with all angles covered. Although we were at the Grand Stand, we can only see part of the race!
After Sepang, we took a ride to KLIA before heading home.
What a way to spend my hard-earned weekends although missing the MASS in the Church! GOD forgives.

Live the Dream
On Sunday, 23 Sep 2007, we did a publicity ride for the contestants in our "Live The Dream". It was fun meeting these aspiring stars and I believe we did get the public to notice the contestants.

Last Sunday, we had a good turn-out despite the weather. 60 over bikers and pillions rode to Sunset Grills & Pub at Seletar Airbase to test our endurance on the levels of the most spicy chicken wings. Peter Boys was top at level 25.
Later at Tampines Stadium, more than 80 bikes rode 3 rounds at the stadium for racial harmony day...., wow!

Annual Rock to Rock
R2R this year was a very personal ride for me with a friend. We had our fun at HRC S'pore on Friday evening (20/7) where for $10.00 as member of HOG, we got to enjoy the starters which is more than enough to fill me up. I also contributed to the CCF for a golden ribbon clip.
The following morning we started early eventhough the previous night at HRC ended with a long ride until early morning. I did had a 2 hours of sleep before heading out to KL with Mustang. The ride was fast and furious, we had our fills along the route and got separated in KL by a dividing wall that looms up suddenly but both managed to reach Concorde Hotel with minimum fuss. We are more than early and we met our long time trusted buddy Phil who entertained us at Spices for brunch.
The joy of seeing long time fellow riders in KL, catching the good old pioneering times as Harley owners were always great feelings. The 7 piece band at HRC KL was fantastic. The crowd is something we can't have in S'pore. CrossRoads was also as great with so many bands taking turns to entertain us. We even squeezed time to visit Petaling, Saturday evening Mass at St John's, Bukit Nenas. As usual, being the 2 of us, we ventured more than just only KL centre itself.
Always fun to have similar fun-seekers like Mustang and Phil around!

raising funds / rides / charities
Last 30th June, had a big turn-out from fellow riders to raise funds for needy children in my working place. We didn't do any rides but having our beloved "iron horses' parked for photo-taking and each photograph, we charged $5.00. At the end of the day, we managed to raise a few hundred $$$ ! (not bad for a primary school and located in the HDB heartland).
I wish to place on records my sincere appreciations to the following riders:
Jimmy Ho, Jess Ley, Philip Seow, Agnes, Goh Johan, Patrick Foo, Billy, Chris & Kim, Fei & partner, Ali Barshad, Melvyn D'Oliveiro and most heartening to HDS Richard Park, Omar, Kim and colleague who so kindly volunteered their time and bikes for the occasion.
We're not only riders looking for fun, we are fund-raisers too, we know how to enjoy and we know how others need us too. Thank you all and GOD bless.

ME & MY FLHR ROADKING HARLEY DAVIDSON
I am better known as JoKiNg in the Singapore riding fraternity. JoKiNg is created as a partnership between my beloved bike and me..., Joseph roadKing Ng hence 'JoKiNg' (3 in 1). When Harley Davidson motor-cycles were officially brought into Singapore, I immediately placed an order for a XLH Sportster 883. At that time, I used a slogan..., 'Sports for life and everafTer' hence 'SportsTer'! It was of silver metallic colour. I rode about 6 years with the Sportster, then I went for a FLHR 2001 Twin Cam RoadKing. It was double tone with royal blue and diamond ice. Unfortunately on one of my forays into Thailand, I badly crashed it so I traded in for another new replacement 2002 of the same tones. It is still with me...., wow!
